Walkmeter Walking & Hiking GPS App Reviews

I have been using this app most days for more than 2 years. It is still remains my favourite GPS tracking app. I like the settings flexibility it offers. Abvio has a very attentive & responsive development team. The app is highly functional even without the spectacular extras in Elite.

With this app I listen to my online courses, walk and keep track. Great and easy to use.

Wont reveal pedometer step count without upgrading to paid version. Thats sort of lame.

This app is full of ads that cut out your gps and your steps. Unless you buy full version this app is crap.

Dont waste your time, quite possible the worst app in the world, the ads are non-stop. The developers are a joke and cant pay for the app by themselves so they get goofy, fly-by-night companies to pay for ads on the app. Delete as soon as possible and dont look back

I paid for the upgrade to not see the ads. Thats fine what bothers me though is I will start my walk on my watch as instructed so that it will take my heart rates during the walk, but when I finish my walk it doesnt always allow me to choose "done" sometimes only the reset will appear then you loose what you did. I just lost the last 2 days of walks, this is not helpful when you are trying to make lifestyle changes.

Great app for hiking, walking and running. Have used side by side with Garmin watch / ant and garmin connect. Apple watch and garmin within 2 bpm of each other and prefer the email after finshing a hike, bike ride or run with this app. Get the paid version and spend some time entering your email and setting the heart rate options on the pages area - it is worth the effort to set up properly and once done its awesome! Had a few questions for support and got a reply the same day.

For sure it is the best.... Would like to get The Elite version but for no reason I it is getting me and error, the support team is eorking on it

Tracks with all sorts of info but Apple Watch integration is poor. When you indicate a Stop on your watch the app ignores it on your iPhone and continues to run. Very frustrating.

Finally found a great working pedometer, worth its price

stores a variety of data about your exercise session. few glitches here and there. but very responsive dev team. thanks.

Freezes my iPhone 6s. Have to hold power and home until reboot.

Overall, this app is pretty good even though its much too complicated for my needs. I subscribed to the elite service for a year, and when it was time to renew, I realized I wasnt using any of the premium features so it wasnt worth it. But then the ads started and they are absolutely horrible. They cover the entire screen to block you from what youre doing, and they stay on there for 20 to 30 seconds. Some of the ads have extremely annoying loud sounds. Totally inappropriate. At least they dont pop up while youre actually exercising, fortunately. I will be looking for another app. I dont mind paying a few bucks initially--- I just dont like paying every year.

Use this and the Cycle Meter, love them both! I also have a Fitbit, but I rely on Walkmeter to more accurately account for the distance of my walks...

Started using this app a few years ago with my iPhone 5 to track my walks. Currently been using it with my iPhone 6. Has always worked perfect for me from day one. Keep up the good work, thanks.

Ok. But trying to use it and it is forcing me to write this review. Not cool!

I am removing your App from my iPhone because your App consistently installs your Apple Watch App without checking my setting that I dont want it installed on my Watch! Sorry, but you need to verify existing settings.

First, Im told it wont save my walks, because theres no Internet connection, change settings. I change the settings to allow it to access Internet, still no luck. Second, when I try to upgrade to Walkmeter Elite, the "Purchase" spinning icon keeps going and going and going, and never does anything. I have to force quit the app. Fix those, and youll get 5 stars from me.
