Walkmeter Walking & Hiking GPS App Reviews

Consistently underestimates route length, when checked with pre-measured routes, and/or compared to my Garmin GPS device and/or compared to vehicle odometer ... The 3 other methods of route measurement agree.... This App (or my iPhone5s GPS?) isnt accurate.

It tracks where you walk. Google maps will do the same, and free of charge.

Unless you subscribe annually to this company which is a joke in itself the app does nothing more than google maps. Subscription apps are a rip off. Beware.

I purchase the Elite walkmeter after trying the lite version a year+ ago. I was impressed with the flexible activities available in Walkmeter among many other feature including tracking and history reports. I have referred many friends over this period whom also impressed also purchasing the Elite version. I wear a fitbit that works well with Walkmeter capturing my active minutes and many other measurements. Walkmeter is Extremely accurate and among all the features and tools, why I rated 5 stars. I never write reviews or have I ever rated an app until today, so Abvio, this is my first. I needed tech assistance with Wakmeter, I was even more impressed with this product when I sent an email including my issue. Abvio tech support had it resolved in 10 minutes. Thank you Fran Taylor. This is the perfect app, give it ago, you cant be disappointed. Regards

Not accurate at all

Excellent app, great for both walking and running, saves routes compares speeds, compatible with Bluetooth pedometers, works great with iPhone health app in 6 & 6+

I enjoy this app, like how it maps and gives time and averages. Helped motivate me for sure.

The in-app purchases notifications are CONSTANTLY in your face... Expressing how insanely crippled the free version is, and basically telling you that it is silly to even bother with the app without its subscription. So... I wont. Im uninstalling this invasive POS before Ive even had a chance to test it.

Very useful and easy to understand. It gives you everything you need to know. One little bad thing is poor graphic. Boring to look at but do what needed to do so it is not so important.

Great app. Love it. Use it all the time to record walks. Like the map feature and the record keeping features.

Ive been using Walkmeter for about 3 years now for cardio and as an added benefit, weight control. I now feel guilty if I havent used the app for three days. Its addictive.

I didnt want to allow them and third party users to collect my personal data. When I tried to cancel out, in app it would not let me. Just popped up a message that said I had to agree. No thanks.

Tried to reset to a new walk this evening and am now locked on the Leaderboard screen ...have been for hours and have no idea how to fix it. Hopefully this glitch will be discovered and fixed soon or Ill have to move to a different app ...might try Runkeeper.

I love this ap. it has become my coach and my conscience. Being able to track and record my fitness and activity progress is the greatest incentive in keeping me on my feet and off the couch. I strongly reccomend this app to all my fellow grey pony tailed friends who are looking to squeeze every drop of joy through motion in what should be the twilight of our lives.

This app is not a simple app. So buyer beware

Beware of charges for subsequent years. $5.69 to renew every year. I will be deleting it from my iPhone. Was not aware of this at outset. This is the first app with renewal fees. You can use it free with a lot of features cut. Thanks for one year. I will be looking for something else.

I just use the free version and its really all I need. Everything works well for me and I enjoy the app.

This terrific app is not compatible with iPod Touch!
